The 3 Things Holding BCBAs Back
from Coaching and Consulting Work
You love behavior science. You're exhausted by the system you're expected to use it in.
You didn't work this hard to feel trapped. You have a master's degree, a credential you fought for, and years of real clinical judgment...
But the future in front of you still looks like more caseloads, more reports, more insurance pressure… more of your life disappearing into work.
Maybe you have wondered whether coaching is even in your scope and maybe you scroll past consulting opportunities because you do not know what you would charge.
Maybe you have a niche, a passion, or a side idea, but every time you try to make it real, you FREEZE.
You do not have to throw away the degree you fought for or gamble your financial stability on an overnight resignation.
Give us 60 minutes on Wednesday, October 21, and we'll show you what has been holding you back and what to do next.

⭐ Leave with a real roadmap from clinical work to a coaching or consulting offer. The kind of roadmap no one gave you in grad school.
Can't make it live? A replay will be available until Sunday, October 25th at 11:59 PM EDT.
But trust us, you want to be there live. IYKYK. ✨
HERE'S WHAT WE'RE DOING TOGETHER ON OCTOBER 21ST
In 60 minutes, you'll walk away with...
"A new path means starting over and risking everything I've built"
You hear "career pivot" and imagine quitting, losing income, abandoning your identity, and proving yourself from scratch. But coaching and consulting can be an addition, not an escape plan. Your credential, clinical judgment, and behavior-change expertise are the foundation, not baggage. A safer path begins by expanding options alongside your current work, not blowing up your stability overnight.
"I'm not qualified enough, credible enough, or ready enough to be seen"
Imposter syndrome, comparison, and the fear of being judged or out of scope keep you waiting to feel ready before you act. But readiness is not a feeling you must wait for. Your BCBA training (observing behavior, understanding motivation, tracking progress, working with values) is already highly relevant. You don't need to become a different person before you can build a different kind of practice.
"I can't see the bridge from clinical work to a real coaching or consulting offer"
You've tried generic business content, low-cost courses, and side ideas, and you're more confused than when you started. That's not a skill gap; it's a roadmap gap. There is a sequence: choose a meaningful problem, translate the skills you already have, build ethical clarity and real-world practice, and create a credible offer gradually. You don't need a finished brand, a huge audience, or all the answers to take the first step.
From Sarah and Kendra
This one is personal.
"Nobody told us we could do this work."
We left grad school knowing how to run sessions and write plans. What we did not know was that the skills we already had, the ones we used every single day, were the exact same skills that make coaching and consulting work. We just could not see it because nobody ever framed it that way.
We thought coaching was something else, something separate, something we would need a whole new career to access. We thought consulting was for people with different letters after their name. We were wrong.
So we did what you have probably already done. We tried to fix it inside the model: better boundaries, a different job, generic business content, a side idea. None of it gave us the ABA-specific pathway, credibility, or mentorship we needed. It just left us thinking maybe we were the problem.
We were not the problem. And neither are you. You are not bad at business; you have been given generic advice for a situation that is anything but generic. The things holding us back were not skill gaps. They were identity, readiness, and a missing roadmap. Once we saw that, everything opened up.
On October 21st, we are walking you through the 3 things that held us back, and the 3 things that are probably holding you back right now.
Your clinical skills were never the problem. You were never given the bridge to use them beyond billable hours. That is what this hour is for.
Is this for you?
This event is for you if...
- ⭐
You love behavior science, but you're exhausted by the insurance-led, clinic-bound system you're expected to use it in. You got into this to help people, not feel like a cog in a money-making machine.
- ⭐
You're a BCBA who keeps thinking about coaching or consulting work but has no idea where to start or whether it's even in your scope.
- ⭐
You've already tried to fix it inside the model: better boundaries, a different ABA job, generic business courses, a side idea. And none of it gave you the ABA-specific pathway, credibility, or mentorship you actually need.
- ⭐
You don't want to throw away the degree you fought for. You want to know your BCBA credential is transferable: an asset that makes a new direction credible, not something you'd have to abandon.
- ⭐
You have the clinical skills but freeze when someone asks what you'd charge for coaching or consulting, or how you'd even structure it. Imposter syndrome and comparison keep stopping you before you start.
- ⭐
You already have a pull toward fitness, nutrition, wellness, leadership, OBM, or another passion, and you know your ABA skills could help more people, but you can't see how to turn it into a real, ethical offer without starting from zero.
- ⭐
You want to see real examples of BCBAs already doing this work, what it looks like day to day, and how they got there, so this stops feeling like a reckless reinvention and starts feeling like a legitimate next step.
- ⭐
You don't want to gamble your financial stability on an overnight resignation. You want a credible, structured way to build something flexible alongside what you're already doing, without throwing away your credential or your income.
Not for you if:
- →
You're completely fulfilled by the billable-hours model and have zero interest in expanding beyond direct services (genuinely, we're happy for you).
- →
You're looking for a passive replay-only experience. You can have the replay, but the live real conversation happen on October 21.
- →
You're chasing passive income or a get-rich-quick side hustle. This is about building a credible, client-led coaching or consulting practice, not transplanting clinical ABA language into a new setting for a quick buck.
REAL WOMEN. REAL SHIFTS.
What other BCBAs are saying
"Before, I was an ABA business owner with 20 clients. Now I'm coaching women in perimenopause and burnt-out BCBAs, and I love every day."
Nicole Bickelman
BCBA & Founder, Nicole Lee Scott Health and Wellness
"I always said I never want to be an entrepreneur. Now I'm genuinely excited. Every new step is scary, but so fulfilling, because it's mine."
Andrea Murray
PhD, BCBA-D & University Director
"It felt like a huge relief to share my current frustrations with the field and have a clear path forward without feeling judged."
Jackie
BCBA
"Learning about motivational interviewing and diving deeper into ACT and RFT was incredible on a personal level, and applying it to my health coaching clients has allowed me to just evoke and reflect on what they're talking about, and to create more change talk."
Martina V.
Behavior Consultant & Health Coach
"I joined and was blown away. It was soooooo amazing, I was up until 10 just writing out ideas and processing it all. Your passion is undeniable and you gave us actual steps to move forward. I loved it, and took so much away from it."
